Thanks for porting Elementary to QtCurve. I have no problems with it at all. In fact, it was one of the best QtCurve themes I can find. Though, I have two questions: 1) What Plasma theme do you recommend with it (I prefer Aya, Air, and Caledonia myself)? 2)I hope I am not being rude here but I was curious on why did you make an Aurorae decoration instead of just using QtCurve to do the window decoration? Was it just a matter of preference? Also, I packaged your QtCurve theme, Aurorae decoration, and the color scheme for Chakra; though this package should work just fine on Arch Linux: http://chakra-project.org/ccr/packages.php?ID=6099
Sorry, I just realized I never read the previous comments (or the fact that the first commenter is a Arch and Chakra packager) and that I am asking questions that have already been answered! I just hope I did not upload a dublicate package...
Thanks! To answer your questions, 1. Caledonia! :) and 2. The reason for porting to Aurorae was for two reasons: To be able to use the actual Elementary buttons, and to have the gigantic drop shadows.
That makes sense, thanks for the reply!
No problem!
Applying this QtCurve Theme somehow creates a toolbar on the left of dolphins places side panel. Is there a way to get rid of it ? It just happens with this QtCurve theme btw. Here a screenshot: http://abload.de/img/filemanagerjpjb1.png
Ah after hours I found out it was somehow an "dolphin search toolbar" without any contents that was interestingly enough completly empty. Other themes simply did not have a color difference between toolbar and normal window background. Thats why I first noticed it with your theme. Anyway its solved right now
I actually haven't been on KDE for a while, so this must be some new change to Dolphin. Glad you got it sorted out.
I recommend using these decorations with Fugishi theme instead Caledonia: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=137517
Caledonia looks a lot like the default Elementary desktop theme, but I actually alternate between it and Fushigi. Both very good themes.
Lol, indeed after so many years arching I'm now enjoying Chakra which sports Caledonia - and I must say Malcer did a great job here: http://imgur.com/a/bodsk#3
Thanks a lot for porting the beautiful elementary OS theme to KDE SC 4 :) Now, there are a couple of issues that would be great to solve: 1. The Aurorae decoration doesn't supports some of the "Pin on top" and "Pin at bottom" buttons. 2. The decoration also doesn't supports the new KDE SC 4.10 menu button. It would be great if you can address those issues! I'm also planning to add the complete theme to the AUR repository in Arch Linux.
Thanks. I'll do another version soon with the 'pin' buttons. I've checked into it and Aurorae doesn't support the window menubar option, but it will be available for KDE 4.11. I can assure you that there will be an update then, as I love that feature.
Wonderful news, we have to wait some months but it will be totally worthy :)
