Same thing hapens to me when I try to run Swiftfox or Thunderbird.
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
QPainter::setPen: Will be reset by begin()
QPainter::setFont: Will be reset by begin()
QPainter::end: Missing begin() or begin() failed
The program 'swiftfox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
(Details: serial 483 error_code 2 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Any ideas? I heavily depend on these two apps, but I also adore Kore. ;-((((
i get an error when trying to launch beryl or firefox after applying this config:

running kubuntu 7.04
When I click download, I'm linked to a bunch of text.
What do I do with this? Copy it to a file, I assume, but what type of file? Sorry, I'm new to KDE and unsure of what to do next.
Open Kcontrol > Appearance & Themes > Style.
Select Domino (which you have to install if you haven't already). Click Configure. Choose the Load/Save tab and Import Config. Now browse to the file you've downloaded from here.
The file name extension doesn't really matter. It's probably easier just to right click the Download button on this page and save the target file.
But can you adjust the tooltips to a grey-ish color, not sure if it was just me but I got Blacked out tooltips until I adjusted it to a light grey, now it's perfect.

great theme ,but which color scheme do you use? When I import config it applies for domino style.
I absolutely love this - it is awesome... but, it crashes Firefox. I get the same error as everyone else...
doesn't work either

I fixed this by modifying GTK styles; Sys Settings > Appearance > GTK Styles.. At the top, select "Raleigh" under 'Use another style'. HTH.

This goes right on my shiny black laptop. Nice work.
