Hello. I have a question. I use your theme, but I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of the background on the buttons? So the buttons are flush with the titlebar.
Yes, there is a way, but it's harder than it looks (I've tried) and my metacity skills are atrocious :)
This was just a quick hack of Blended. Sorry I can't be more helpful :(
You'd start by editing the metacity-theme-1.xml to your liking :)
While removing the gradient behind the buttons is fairly trivial, you'd then have to recolour the buttons because otherwise they would be too light to see. This recolouring, if I understand correctly, would be done in the xml not in the png files.
I'm not aware of any metacity theme tutorials. Your best bet is to jump in and hack. Or to use another theme. Consider also that emerald themes are much easier to make, though they do not pick up on the colours of the GTK+ theme, because there's a GUI available.
