hi together, I also found out, that Gnome-Shell isn't able to work together with Emerald-theme-manager. The simple reason is the mutter-window-manager. Gnome-Shell depends on mutter-window-manager. But Emerald-decorator depends on compiz-window-manager. And there, we have the cat biting its own tail. The thing is, that compiz does not work with mutter-window-manager and mutter-window-manager does not support compiz the other way round. So it would be good, if anybody would claim that to the developers. And the next bad thing is, that the next version of ubuntu will come with Unity as desktop-environment. So this would be the chance, to switch over to LinuxMint. LinuxMint 11 also has Gnome3 as its standard Desktop. But there, the users are not forced to use Unity or even Gnome-Shell. There we as users have the possibility of choice!! There you are not forced to anything!! So: switch over and forget Ubuntu. LinuxMint is based on ubuntu and uses the same repositories. And one more good thing: LinuxMint is an official ubuntu-derivate comeing from Ireland!! So you also support EU-economy!! That's why I switched over nearly two years ago!

on lines 46~49 I change the height attribute to object_height. In short words: height="23" to height="object_height" Hey, nice metacity.

Thanks for making a Metacity version, I cannot use Emerald with gnome-shell.
