5I underestimated this skin for the following reasons:
when using the player, a window "about the author" constantly pops up by itself, in which the author of the skin indicated his sites for advertising.
after watching some video, the player window with this skin became larger than the resolution of my screen. I had to move the taskbar to the other side of the screen in order to reach the bottom corner of the player and make the window smaller.

I have this theme installed on my own machines and there is no window "about the author" constantly popping by itself and I didn't set anything in the theme to make it to behave that way. I never did such things with my themes and will ever do.
By the way, in more than eight years this addon is available for download, no one ever reported to me this kind of issue. May I ask you from where you downloaded/retrieved the file? Did you do directly on this site or from an untrusted source?
In addition to my previous reply, I'd like to add that the "about this skin" window doesn't open automatically, there is need to click on the "i" icon in the bottom right corner of the "Playlist" window so it could display. And if you open the "about this skin" window (accidentally or not), then to close it you can double click on its titlbar.
About the player window size, if it is too large, you can double click the player titlebar and it adjusts to the screen size and then you can quickly access the resizer to resize the window to your liking.
By the way, as you can read in the "about this skin" window, the theme is based off the "subX" skin that ships by default with VLC. What I only did with my theme is to replace the "subX" graphics with my custom ones. So I didn't change anything in the way the skin behaves, only how it looks.

Hey, to answer your question if you're still wondering-
This is an extension/add-on. That means that it's not a stand-alone program or media file, etc. etc. It's made to be used by another program, and as such you don't "open/run the file", you load it by doing the following:
1)Open VLC
2)Go to Tools->Preferences
(--You should now see "Interface Settings" displayed, given that in the bottom-right corner of this window (next to "Reset Preferences") you see displayed: "Show Settings" with "Simple" chosen, not "All"--)
3)Under the second area "Look and Feel" the first option is to select either "Use Native Style" or "Use Custom Skin". Select "Use Custom Skin" and under it will change to "Skin Resource File:" which will be blank if you're using the original skin for VLC.
4)Select "Choose..." and navigate to the location that you downloaded this(or any) skin to.
5)Select that skin's file, followed by "open".
6)Select "Save" on the bottom right hand corner next to "Cancel".
7)(you may have to restart VLC for changes to take effect) Enjoy or hate!
And then just do that for any other skin you download.
at first, thanks so much. It's really beautiful. But I couldn't use the play list because it couldn't should the chinese. I hope that you can add the support for UTF-8. Thanks again!

but why is there a gap at the bottom of the screen when I choose full screen mode?
