if someone want to have penguin logo instead of apple logo can use this png http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/5062/screenshotpenguindef.png. To install save image as /usr/share/gdm/themes/Mac4Lin_GDM_v1.0/screenshot.png and as /usr/share/gdm/themes/Mac4Lin_GDM_v1.0/window_shadow.png
I had to remove default gnome gdm themes in order for this to install correctly.
I would install and use it and it would use the gnome happy feet gmd instead. when i removed the gnome theme it worked great.

I think you were not selecting the radio button properly (I suppose so). Coz nobody else has reported this problem. Which distro and GNOME version do you use?
