Description:
Beautiful GDM logon window theme for Linux Mint. This one is preferable to the default Linux Mint GDM in that it displays an avatar for users. To install this theme, simply go to the Mintmenu, click 'Administration', 'logon Window'. Install the new theme, and then click it (be sure the black dot adjacent to the theme is ticked.) Reboot the computer or logout / login to view. Enjoy!

is there a version without the "linux mint" text/logo?

really it is not that difficult. Just take the GIMP, select the background color and paint over it. Though I suggest you put your own custom logo at the place after it. It does look a bit empty without a logo there
