Note Ubuntu uses LightDM, so you would need to switch to GDM first to use GDM themes:

Hi, I found this really nice by adding the Carbon background from CKontros (not that I didn't like it before). Wiki at ubuntustudio.org has a link to that as well (just untar and change the background.png).
I haven't seen anything else quite like it. awesome job!
do you have a link to the background image it is beautiful.
Don't worry the image in the package was large enough.
Ahh. I was going to say... :)
that picture is actually a pic of Melbourne's(australia) markets at night then blured
:) I always wondered.
Now that's what I call a login screen with class! I'm the one who created the theme this one is based on. I agree, Ubuntu default themes are UGLY! It's like someone over there is trying to use every shade of crap brown and puke orange they can. Ubuntu devs need some real art direction and I hope they take a cue from UbuntuStudio's play book. Great job!
Thank you for the kind words! And I entirely agree! :) Poop brown and puke orange is right on the dot. Thank you for creating the basis of this theme.
