GIMP toolbox like Photoshop
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):

Description:It frustrated me that it took me a lot of time to find the right tools so I crafted a Toolbox icon theme similar (specialty GIMP's native cropping tool icon I couldn't remember)
After it was done I thought I'd share it so other people who used Photoshop could benefit from this.
I Included:
- a Keyboard shortcut RC file that matched photoshops keyboard shortcuts (http://epierce.freeshell.org/gimp/gimp_ps.php)
- my personal perspective that looks a lot like PS's default.
- A config file that rearranged the order of the tools in the toolbox
That screenshot may speak for itself.
Install instructions Linux:
- Unzip the downloaded file into /home/{username}/.gimp-2.x/
- Open gimp go to: Edit -> Preferences -> Themes and select PsIcons
Install instructions Windows:
- Unzip the downloaded into: C:/Program Files/GIMP 2/share/GIMP/2.x/
- Open gimp go to: Edit -> Preferences -> Themes and select PsIcons
LEGAL NOTE: All the icons in the theme where crafted by GIMP but I used multiple screenshots of Photoshop I found on Google to use as a template. All the icons are slightly different but if this is still an issue that I am afraid that I am the only one benefiting from this work. But at least I cared to share.
Enjoy ;-)
1.1:
-Added perspective clone tool icon

Thanks for the module. Is there anyway to make the icons larger?
- Download zip. Unzip - Open the folder 159293-PSIcons1.1 -> themes - Copy the "PsIcons" folder - Search GIMP.app in finder - Right-click GIMP.app and select "show package contents" - Contents -> share -> gimp -> 2.0 -> themes and paste Psicons folder - Close finder - Open the gimp app and go to: GIMP -> Preferences -> Theme and select PsIcons
Hi there, I did it but the system doesn't let me adding files ... Every time I drag the folder to them - it has a block sign
Thanks, wondered why it wasnt working ;)
THANK YOU !!!This is PURE AWESOME !!
Thank you, I was searching for some time for a solution. Icons should be ICONS, not NICE PICTURES! It is tool, not art. Actually, I have a plan to even more simplify it, like at PS3/4, 2-bit bitmap or so :-)
May I suggest the following scallable vector graphics: https://github.com/gnome-design-team/gnome-icons/tree/30e48072b60c843ddb58fb9798cb56574fd1f651/art-libre-symbolic/artlibre/scalable/tools
It looks great. Just, those icons are grey, I am not sure is it the best solution... But really great alternative. I'll put it in my library :-)
Thanks a lot, but what happened to the scroll bar? I can also use the mouse for it, but it would be nice to have it back.
It was turned off. I got used dragging the image around by holding the space-bar. You can turn it back on by going to: Edit -> Preferences -> Appearance There should be a "Show scrollbars" checkbox ;)
Oh, thanks. I'm such a beginner-level user of GIMP ;-)
...a bit bigger icons - for people with high-res screens would be great I am already awaiting your next version
Sorry to disappoint you but the icons are just peaces I cut out from screenshots I found on Google and alfa blended with GIMP . I don't have them in better quality. My next work will probably be a theme with scale-able SVG's I found a great set here: http://worldofgnome.org/creating-gnome-symbolic-icons-with-jimmac/ but I think the work never got finished. I asked for it in a comment :)
Thanks for the feedback. I added the perspective clone tool icon and updated the installation instructions.
Great theme for Gimp! Actually that's what I hope to see with every graphics program with Linux. But the "perspective cloning tool" (not sure of the english translation) is missing. So, it's the only one which is colored! Not a problem but I think it could be intereting for you to know it!
Great job ....works like a charm! Now my gimp looks like a photoshop...
- UNZIP the file...... - Install the content of 159293-PsIcons subdirectory in your into /home/{username}/.gimp-2.x/ where gimp-2.x represents your last gimp version NICE.....
