Hello, I really appreciate that you took care of the beautiful SnowIsh set. I asked myself if it was possible to use SnowIsh but with the mono-icons for the top bar. (I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 and find the mono icons very good) Its easier than I thought: I copied /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-light/ to /usr/share/icons/SnowIsh_mono/ then edited /usr/share/icons/SnowIsh_mono/index.theme with gedit and changed the the parameter Inherits to Inherits=SnowIsh Then changed with uuntu tweak the icon theme and tada, it works. (Of course I installed SnowIsh before) There are some icons that wont work e.g. the 'file system' in nautilus in the left menu gives me a white sheet of paper. Maybe its because of Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/misc of theme SnowIsh has no size field Keep up the good work. Wauzl
I also had to remove the places directory from /usr/share/icons/SnowIsh_mono/index.theme In addition I wanted to keep the original Firefox and Thunderbird icons. This can be done by cd to /usr/share/icons/SnowIsh/ and then run for i in $(sudo find -iname "*firefox*"); do sudo mv $i $i"_bak"; done and for i in $(sudo find -iname "*thunderbird*"); do sudo mv $i $i"_bak"; done This will add "_bak" to all filenames with firefox or thunderbird in it. So they cannot be found and the standard icons are used. Greetings
Thanks for your messages - I haven't used SnowIsh for ages, certainly not since Gnome 3.0 came out. Thanks for your instructions/tips. I might have some time to update/test the set with Gnome 3.* sometime this week. Thanks again.
Hello, I just figured out that the backward pointing arrows dont work :/ Maybe you can fix it. Thanks :) (PS: I'm actually using Unity)
Arrows work fine, but I had no rights to view them. I just ran sudo chmod -R a+r /usr/share/icons/ This enables reading (opening and viewing) all icons for everybody. It worked then.
Man, you have 2 of the best icon themes out here! Great job :)
:-) You mean three, you forgot to mention Noir Crystal! But seriously, thank you for the nice comment.
Could you possibly consider to change download link since I (and I guess most of people in China neither) just can't download this great work.
I'll send you a PM with a link in 5-10 minutes... if anyone else can't access mediafire then let me know.
Still a very amazing theme. One of my favorites overall - I switch a lot back and forth and this makes most it to the desktop many a time.
Thanks, that's really good to hear - if you notice anything missing/broken let me know and I'll try to add/fix it.
the second link is dead too. Too bad, this icon set looks great.
Sorry, not sure what happened to the links - should be working now.
hi man! sorry but I can't download the theme, the first one, not the debian version.. 4shared gives an error.. could you please solve the problem? thank's very much

Nice work !
Thanks! I can't take the credit for the icons, just the dog's job of getting them all to work!
