Really good conversion. i like it. Would it be possible to make those pretty scrollbars that were in cheetah and panther releases with gtk3? All i have seen by most authors in terms of scrollbars is rather sad and ugly flat looking things.
Nice Theme Reviewed it on my blog here: http://www.wmlcloud.com/linux/give-ubuntu-the-mac-os-x-look-with-fakeosx/
I installed it. but now I can't see the clock, username and all the top panel text like (file, edit, view, bookmarks)... I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 (Gnome 3.2.1)... How do I fix it ?
and icons........ what is your name?? icons
The menu appears on Unity panel looks very ugly (its not clear to read). How to change the code to make it clearer (menu items fonts is black for better appearance).
Can You make an Xfwm4 theme?
nevermind my previous question. i can confirm that this works in mint 12. what i'm trying to do now is have this on a 10.04 or 10.10 machine. what do i have to do? when i try it, it cannot find the gtk+ theme osx. the window border works but not the controls. any suggestions?
extraxt to osx.zip and gtk-2.0 and metacity-1 copy to /~/.themes
wow thanks for responding dude! now, when i select the theme it is looking for 'leoicons' and it says it will not display normally because of that. any suggestions?
Later upload..
does this work in Mint12 using Gnome3.2
I think the Adwaita Cupertino theme (SL variant) has gone a long way along this road. The only apparent difference in this theme seems to be the (OSX-like) background color in the Nautilus sidepane. But this poses a problem at the top and top-right due to the design of Nautilus. Perhaps joining efforts could help find efficient solutions to issues like this.
that option is included in Advaita-Cupertino since the beginning in fact this theme is Adwaita cupertino 1.3.8 (only renamed the original) motivated by parasites like this I canceled the project Adwaita-Cupertino, in which I worked over 250 hours of my free time
Yes I'am agree with you, and the shell theme is the Shell-osx renamed. ...
Sorry for the double post This package comes from the FakeOSX release (now FreeOSX), it is all under GPL license so you must precise the source. I'am in relation with the creator of FreeOSX and it isn't you.
" ... it is all under GPL license so you must precise the source." In the post I see no reference to the authorship of the themes. On the other hand, if you would have contacted me, I would have been delighted to help keep the updated package, for me the game is over, I do not want to keep discussing the obvious Enjoy it (excuse my bad English and could not express myself as I would like)
" ... it is all under GPL license so you must precise the source." I said this to Pch76 not to you Trastes. ("I'm in relation with the creator of FreeOSX and it isn't you.") was also for Pch76 I'm the author of Shell-osx also included in the pack.
hehe, sorry for the confusion. Then you are in the same situation as me, and will be just as annoying. you have my respect for your work. ;) Best regards
I just commented that concerns me. I am the author of Adwaita-Cupertino (Included in this package). Finally, you can do whatever he wants. But I have no motivation to continue working on Adwaita-Cupertino. regards
Yes I'am agree with you, and the shell theme is the old Shell-osx renamed. ...
