Moomex-Revisioned Theme
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
I would like to thank Faisal Hakami for all of his hard work with the original. Credit and the name goes to him.
I've tweaked it a fair bit, including changing the size of the panel and menubar, added the ability to easily add custom menu backgrounds, altered colors, changed some styles of things, &, in general, gave it more of a mildly glossy, look.
To change the default background, which is my favorite, a 'spotlight' one, just open the gtkrc text file and find the 'Menu' section and you'll see where you can change the background of all the menus. I have 10 extras there already.
Use any icon set you like. It's set on 'Humanity' as the icon set, for the 'theme-only' download.
For those interested in the theme I use, I've added an option for it to be included as well. It's a non-MS-logo'ed variation of Win2-7, http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Win2-7+Pack?content=113264, with several additional, as well as alternate, icons, to work perfectly with this theme.
TO INSTALL:
THEME ONLY:
Either install the tar file directly by going to Applications->System->Preferences->Appearance and drag and drop the tar file in the 'Theme' tab's window (or click 'install'), OR extract the tar file and manually add the folder, "Moomex-Revisioned", to ~/.themes (which is where the latter installs it to), or to /usr/share/themes (for system-wide use, which is my preference).
THEME and ICON SET:
Just install the debs, if you are using a Debian system. Otherwise, extract them and copy and paste the appropriate theme and icon folders to their respective places on your computer.
