great theme! a new favorite ;) just one thing bugs me, though. The tool boxes in gimp don't have any borders, and it is a pain to use the window menu or the alt key to move them. I also noticed that diolouges don't have buttons either. Could you make a version that all the window types have borders and buttons? I don't really know about metacity or gtk enough to edit that myself.
I love this theme too. I think you will be able to modify the Metacity theme for your need.
The only change you need to do is to change the last lines in the Metacity theme file that is set to 'border' styles and replace it with 'normal' style. They are assigned to handle dialogs. I will also put the exact code on the knowledge base tab of this theme.
I can share your opinion. Murrine is an excellent engine and the look of the theme is pretty much depends on my ability that I can use all what this engine can handle.
Thank you guys for the comments so far. I can already see this design is very much liked.

As soon as the rating reaches above 70% I am gonna release it I promise.

When it will be? Well that is up to you and your friends.
... I like dark themes.
Following my personal taste, I would propose glossy panels, maybe in the metacity pattern, but definitely glossy. I would prefer it to matte colors.
Other than that it is fine. Can't wait to try it.
Will it be ok with open office? We'll see. Please allow color changing (for open office's sake).
Hm... Panels. They make life more difficult then it is.
The reason of the simple panel design is to make the theme work well, under any circumstances. As soon as I add any panel design it fucks up some of theme part. Just test the Drawer application on the panel with any theme that designs the panel.

BTW if you know any workaround I am listening...

Here is how you do it: 1. ALT+F2 2. Open the file from YOUR HOME FOLDER /.themes/LUX_avant-garde/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml 3. Change this: <!-- WINDOW TYPES --> <window type="normal" style_set="normal"/> <window type="dialog" style_set="frame"/> <window type="modal_dialog" style_set="frame"/> <window type="menu" style_set="border"/> <window type="utility" style_set="border"/> <window type="border" style_set="border"/> to this: <!-- WINDOW TYPES --> <window type="normal" style_set="normal"/> <window type="dialog" style_set="normal"/> <window type="modal_dialog" style_set="normal"/> <window type="menu" style_set="normal"/> <window type="utility" style_set="normal"/> <window type="border" style_set="border"/> 4. Save and enjoy.
What a great theme. It would be possible to do in xfwm theme?
Thanks. Someone should then port to XWFM. I do not have experience to do that.
