I have added fmrbpensador's (creator of excellent Elegant Brit Gtk theme) version, which is quite different than mine. It is a bit higher, have smaller buttons and different font colors, and that cause it looks almost like Emerald theme, so I reffere his version, but mine is still available to download

Thanks fmrbpensador.

Added version with black outline.

Thanks for the theme, it's one of my favorites. I wanted to let you know that the 2 mediafire links no lonker work.
I really like this theme and it's my default theme. Unfortunately after the latest update of xorg-server to version 1.7.1.901 in Arch Linux Xorg always crashes when a program is started. It's not possible to run any software anymore. After searching a lot I found out that it was caused by the Xfce Theme Elegant Brit (with both versions made by arialis111 and fmrbpensador). It was nice if you could fix this theme so that it works with the new version of Xorg.
It seems to be an xorg bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24703
Hi, first of all let me congratulate you and fmrbpensador on this theme, my question is simple (i guess) how do I change the alignment of the close minimize and maximize buttons so they be aligned to the right instead of left? thanks!
Hello, Just posting to say i made a mod of your xfwm, with shade and stick buttons (i can't live without those :O). Link's here if you wanna have a look at it : http://www.xfce-look.org/content/show.php/Elegant+Brit+Extra+Buttons?content=98630
Hi, i just wanted to say i really love the elegant brit themes. especially the gtk stuff. I run xfce so I added this theme to complement and it looks really great, however i have a strange issue since running this theme, this icons in the menus (xfce menu for example) are not visible anymore even when I selected this to be the case in the menu properties. In other (default) themes this is working fine. it would be great if Ican get my icons back, but maybe i am doing something wrong. stefan
I believe that is not an issue of the Xfwm4 theme, but a feature of the GTK theme instead. If you want your icons to appear on menus again, please open the gtkrc file under the gtk-2.0 folder of the Elegant Brit theme and change the gtk-menu-images parameter from 0 to 1. Save it and then apply the theme again. That should do the trick.
Hi, that worked for me indeed! I now have my icons back. should this not be applied automatically when selecting/unselecting the "show icons in menu" box? thanks for the tip, stefan
Hi, I don't know why but it looks like the gtkrc otions are more important than Xfce menu editor set-ups. The way to keep the icons visible is adding this: gtk-menu-images = 1 to .gtkrc-2.0 file ( in ~/)
Hi, I have added a black outline to the theme and I think is a bit better but still don't know you'll like it. Just try it.
Ops not here ;(
hi, just wanted to comment on your xfwm4-theme. i really like it cause it goes so well with elegant brit. the main reason why i don't use it are the white window borders. if you have two windows overlapping (and in case you don't have compiz or anything else enabled for shadows behind the windows) it's hard to distinguish the two. i guess in combination with compiz that works out well but for normal xfce it's simply too confusing.

wow, i'm actually surprised by how much difference this little black line makes. thanks, it's really great!
I just wanted to thank you for this great rendition of Elegant Brit. I was just about to create a Metacity and Xfwm4 version for it, but you already did a great work on Xfwm4. Once again, thanks. I will put a link to your theme from my page right away. Hugs!
No problem man. Making this theme was pleasure for me. Thanks for linking me. Cheers.
