Description: I saw somewhere , someone wanted a tougher looking Konqi. Well, here's my version of him, without making a tottal overhaul. Bright and colorful. Something different to look at
I like the rainbow background, and the reflection! It looks really good. (What app did you use to do that?)
I still think Konqui ought to look more like Godzilla, but maybe I'm being too tough on him. After all, his main mascot competition is a window, a penguin, and an apple. How tough do you need to be? :-) (Gnome doesn't really have a mascot does it? Does a footprint count as a mascot?)
But the penguin is cool. I think I'll go play SuperTux...
Maybe we could make a dragon-penguin? That would be... weird.
I used The Gimp to make the background. It's a simple group of various gradiants which were blurred out to make like light.
Konqi.. His reflection is by Gimp. I just turn him upside-down and use some map-illusion.
If it's not FOSS or at least designed to install on Linux natively, I won't use it. Just my way of sending a message to software makers. GO GIMP !! :)
P.S. this is only version 1, I will work on cleaning this up in the future.
