I like that. I must admit I tend towards wallpapers that have enough blank space to place icons etc on. That means that the small visual element that is the focus has to be good. In my subjective opinion yours is :-).

If you create a wallpaper with a single colored background, why don't you simply make the background transparent and let the user decide, which color he likes to have.
