His speech went on to say how Free software isn't free, it will end up costing a corporation more, it poisons a programmer's work ethic, is "un-American and a threat to our way of life", and that these communist hippies will eat your children...
So don't use Linux, it'll make you sick!
Personally, I like this wallpaper. (and am not American, and use Free Software, including Linux, so am already considered a virus by some..) When was the last time kde-look.org had photo from an electron microscope?

here is my interpretation.
a virus doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing.
a virus by nature is catchy. goes from 1 host to another spreading itself.
Linux is like this. it spreads by 1 linux user telling a friend and getting the friend "infected"
Linux obviously isn't a bad thing so getting infected is a good thing. ;)

exactly. it's a one of a kind "virus," goes from "host" to "host," changing how the "host" works. I mean, you don't hear people saying, "Hey! Did you check out THIS distro of windoze?" of course not, or at least I never have. Linux is one of a kind.
