I studied the original image very carefully to find the colors and the gradients, also I looked to other "SVG artworks" that show 3D effects .
Made using Inkscape(Karbon14 has a long road to catch up)
When I first used linux, I found an early version of the "Only K" wallpaper on this site. Since then, this wallpaper has been as much a symbol of linux as KDE itself to me. And now I can zoom in on it!
I like it. but if it were just a skosh brighter, that would be cool. I like dark backgrounds on my wallpapers, etc., but it has to be bright enough that its easily seen. Keep up the good work.
I've seen this SVG adaptation improve quite a bit since you've started working on it. I think this version is very nice, and I know it'll turn out great if you keep working on it. Great job!

How the heck did you add the 3D effect? Did you use Incscape and just spend a whole lotta time making this, or do you have a 3D SVG edditor?
