Description: If you haven't tried out SVG wallpapers in Gnome, here's your chance to start!
The screenshot is shown with a blue to grey gradient background, but the actual SVG file has a transparent background. This means you can select whatever color or gradient you want, and the Ubuntu logo with multiple levels of transparency will sit on top of that.
Comments and variation ideas welcome.
If you haven't tried out Ubuntu Linux yet, you should do that too! :-)
I am a new user (windows refugee) who just installed Ubuntu last night. I can't seem to figure out how to install your wallpaper after I download it. Could you explain how to download and install this type of file?

Maybe a version with the logo sitting on bottom-right, like the default ubuntu's wallpaper?
It took me a while, but I think this is what you were looking for. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=22245
