Really like the textured "feel" and the shading in your rendition of the Ubuntu logo. Very nice. :)
You really should consider using a proper license for your work if you really don't want others to abuse it - just a suggestion.
Like what licence? I want to share it, but I don't want people to sell it or have to worry about breaking a law when they play around with it. Where can I read the GPL? I was think of it but I can't find it.
Here's a link to the FSF's page with a list of licenses and a link to the Artistic 2.0 license. Just look them over and whichever one you decide fits your needs is up to your own discretion. The most common ones seem to be one of the GPL or Creative Commons licenses, or Artistic 2.0.

I also made a version with tux (not in svg, too big to upload), but I made the tux so... it isn't the greatest. Actually, that "textured look" was only a matter of duplicating all of the shapes and blurring them.
