Description: I know it's not very original but I had to try it once I got the idea.
Too bad about the upload quota, because it originally had a marbled ground pattern which doesn't compress too well (increases image size by a factor of four).
Maybe this would be nice as a splash screen... hmm.Last changelog:
I uploaded a 800x600 screenshot with "No One is Laughing" as the groung pattern just to give an idea of how much better (in my opinion)it looks. The monotonic grey just doesn't quite do it.

But you're right, the BG isn't that nice. What about a transparent PNG? (full transparency for the grey, partial one for the shadows and balls)
That way everyone could just make his own BG.

I like the originality of this wallpaper. Sadly I don't use KDE 3.1 :(
