Although I am not particulary a Windows XP enthusiast, I must comment that this is a nice wallpaper. I am still confused why we as Open Source users tend to play towards established gui styles -- ie XP, Aqua. But then again, we have the choice and as a user, we know what we like. Choice. I commend the artist for his work and his view points. I especially praise him on the fact that he/she considers Linux in need of a Professional title. Linux is a professional environment. KDE (and Gnome and Windowmaker, et al) are well suited for the category. I intend to use this wallpaper for awhile. However, I might GIMP the XP out. I like it. Landscapes, fractals, dark industrial Matrix-like backgrounds tend to rule the desktops of many of us. It is nice to have a bright, colourful option now and then.
this wallpaper is fun dont out yourself as zealots i would never use it as the xp colors are a apin on my eyes but its made good and its funny period
Very nicely done! I agree with ianmac - the whole 'XP' concept is just stupid. When WinXP came out suddenly everyone started adding 'XP' to their product name, even hardware!
imho it is a very nice wallpaper, colors are fine with me... its added to my collection, thanks for the work!
I agree but I do have to say that it does look nice. Maybe loose the XP and try some non windoze colors.
Please do not use the phrase "XP" to describe Linux. It is a rather large insult to the entire Unix/Linux world. You can use "XP" to describe that toy made and distributed by Bills' company, but, please have more respect for a real operating system:)
Maybe you should just check your irony-detecting-system instead of following the "windooze is bad" dogma so consequetly. >;) You don't have to use it. So if you don't agree, just ommit this :)
