Yes that is intentional. The moon thing there was supposed to be a bit more transparent, unfortunately I didn't do a good job of that. I am currently working on another one, where the stars will not be showing on the moon or the ground. Maybe I should have named that one Evening Snow? because that's more what it looks like to me :)

How about making a version without those stripes in the blue (jpg artefacts?)?
I think that come from rendering, the lines are less noticeable at 16bit. I will work on it some more.
The image is called "Evening Stars". But there are some in front of that moon(?). Is that intended?
