This has great ideas and a great color mix...but its missing something. Maybe if the "angel" was, say, 30% smaller or so. And more intense...like...make the flares be sharper...um, but maybe not all of them...just some of the colors.
Maybe some of the stars could be "angels" in the distance? ...for depth.
Historical note: our mythic "faeries" came from (probably before) the 15th century when fireflies were thought to be the souls of infants who died before they could be sprinkled (baptized). So they couldn't go to heaven and they couldn't go to hell. It was another theological invention, probably an import from prior religions.
Thanks for the constructive feedback, thoughtfulUser. You really are thoughtful. I used Gimp to make this and the motion blur takes a looong time. I'm learning as I go; I still need a good way to render cloud and dust.
