to the comment above, i think you have slackware and slax confused. slax is a part of the linux-live.org community. it is a script that was developed to make bootable cd versions of *nix based on the distribution of your choice. you can check it out at slax.linux-live.org. g'day
SLAX started as a set of scripts to make a live-cd for slackware, and if memory serves me, it was originally slackware-live. Take a peek at the footer of the page you posted.
