I won't do the whole rationale thing again. It's a cute gimp alteration of kde3blue, included in KDE3. I like the gear-within-a-glass-gear look, and per-request I removed the flare, the almost (It really is KDE3!), and the clouds.
Have at it.
On a side note: could any reasonably-savvy people who successfully got objprelink working e-mail me at blalli@email.arizona.edu, or reply here. I'm having horrible problems with moc. See the old post on objprelink for more info. I figure this wallpaper is a good excuse to bring this up
Seriously though, it's a nice wallpaper. Dark, but not black. Goes great with a dark grey/orange .NET style and glow.

If you nixed the text in the foreground and simplified this a bit, it'd be a killer wallpaper.
well, for my taste it's too busy for a wallpaper although it really looks nice.
