>What You think about?? WHAT I DO THINK ABOUT IT, YOU SAY? well, I THINK you should stop posting your pics (or better, pics you find somewhere on the internet. do you have a camera and some creativity, buddy?) on your website - which is FULL of google adsense ads - even when, like in this case at the moment i am writing, the file is well below the gnome-look 750Kb size limit. and as if this is not enough, you repost and repost the same pictures again and again just to attract more and more visitors to your site. (ah, please note that when i visit your site, the google scripts managing the adsense ads are blocked by my browser, so no, you're not getting a single cent from me!) I think earning money in this way is not a fair behaviour, should not be allowed by gnome-look policy and in my opinion should get you banned. this is not the first time i tell you what i think. will you have the courage to answer me, soon or late? who knows? gravity.

Hi :) It is very nice You comment it here and kde-look, too ;) You must know some more place where I publish my art: deviantart.com , gnomeart.com , flickr.com , digiart.pl and some other ;) >well, I THINK you should stop posting >your pics (pics you find somewhere on >the internet. do you have a camera and >some creativity, buddy?) on your >website - which is full of google adsense >ads - even when, like in this case at the >moment i am writing, the file is well >below the kde-look 750Kb size limit. So, You may not like my art and You may not go to my page. Yes some my post is below 750kb but I have more than 100 post and it is mine work so I can store it on my pages and I can even get many from it. > and as if this is not enough, you repost >and repost the same pictures to attract >more and more visitors to your site. You do'nt right and it is not true. > (please note that when i visit your site, >the google scripts managing the adsense >ads are blocked by my browser, so no, >you're not getting a single cent from >me!) You not must click on my page on adsense. You are free to click or not, I do'nt write You must click. More over kde-look.org is profit corporation and there are google addsens, too ;p So, I think You are so stupid and please do'nt go to my site and not download my art. > Earning money in this way is not a fair >behaviour, should not be allowed by >kde-look policy and in my opinion >should get you banned. Tell it to admin ;) As long as some people like my work and have no problem to download it from art4linux.org I will annonse it here.

gravity

everything i have said is totally true and you know it. i just suggest you spend your adsense money in a good english course. we'll be glad to have helped you.

bluesphere

I really dont find the ads that intrusive (using firefox). Looking like a really nice wallpaper!

gravity

the problem is not if they are intrusive or not. the problem is that they should not be there at all. this guy should post his 'artwork' on this site for free, like we all do. he posts it on his website, instead, getting money for stealing pictures here and there on the internet and 'improving' them a little. cheapest money ever. i think it's time we apply rules and common sense, if there are some left.

xactive

Maybe You are so blind to not see google adsens on gnome-look.org?? and many sponsored links?? You do'nt must click on it, and more over You don't must go to my site. I can tell You something in secrecy: I will put my wallpapers only on my site, and here only anonse it, becose if gnome-look team can make money form somebody else's work, so I can make some from may own work. And Yes, I make many to go to english course ;)

gravity

>And Yes, I make many to go to english course ;) that's good, 'cause you need it

Wow, you are being very rude to this artist who is kind enough to share his work with us and reasonable to expect 10 cents a click in return. . . is it because you are jealous of his accomplishment, or are you just this remarkably unpleasant all of the time?

gravity

jealous? me? ha! :) and about what? about his accomplishment? :D sorry, but i don't call grabbing pictures here and there on the net, modifying them a little, repeatedly advertising them here many, many times and posting them on a personal website full of ads 'an accomplishment'. and i think we should save the word 'artist' for the REAL artists. yes, i've been kinda rude and unpleasant. but this website hosts works made by the community for the community, FOR FREE. i'm sick of people trying to ride the wave and make money out of something born with a completely different goal in mind. shoot YOUR OWN pics, and if you don't feel like sharing them with the people but you want to try and sell them, open your personal website and do it, place ads, whatever. just don't come here, doing what you do, and pretending that it's completely right (and, most important, pretending that i keep observing in silence). cheers, gravity.

The original photograph, by tomhe: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tomhe/151342256/ Notice that it is released under a CC-attribution-2.0 license. He can take it, edit as much or as little as he wants, make money off of it if he desires, and distribute it any way he sees fit - so long as he credits the original author, which he has. There is no issue here. If you have problems with him making money through adsense on his other works, feel free to take it up with the original authors of those pictures, but this is not the place to complain. Please take it elsewhere. Also - Great job xactive. You did an awesome job touching up the photo. I'm using this as my wallpaper on my other computer.

I am more worried about the precedence that he is creating by doing this. What will happen on ****-look.org when more ppl start doing this, say they make websites that require you to click the ad in order to download, or if they are just websites that are confusing to use. It will ruin the experience for the users who are expecting to be able to download the art they want from a community based place that gives them non-obtrusive, free access to what they want. Also, his english is just lazy, he is able to read and communicate in english well enough to be able write properly. That is, if he bother doing so by re-reading his post a couple of times before posting.
