another I think we all went through a 'phase' commonly known as being a 'distro-ho'. It's that insatiable quest for the faster, flashier, tweaked 5 ways to Sunday Linux distribution that barely slakes our thirst for more.
Eventually we find the holy grail of the perpetual kernel and pop-out a few wallpapers and karamba themes.
Man this isn't windows you don't have to sell yourself to be able to get the next release. I understand though once you're in that type of lifestyle it's hard to get out.
