Description: Introducing... GRACE. My first, fully-fledged GTK theme.
Well, I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked and have decided to SETTLE on this. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with it.
NOTES: - This pack comprises of the GTK theme and the emerald theme. I didn't do a Metacity theme because I don't know how. Feel free to port one and credit me in your port; - The GTK has been made with the Global-Menu app in mind, so if you're not a Global Menu user you may want to make a few tweaks to make this acceptable for yourself (for example, commenting any "font_name" styles you find in the gtkrc file); - This theme is pure Murrine GTK and uses the newest revision of the Murrine-SVN GTK engine. You can find instructions on installing this engine HERE; - I recommend KingCam's OS X Leopard panel for the top panel. Check out his profile; - That's Gnome-Do's Docky at the bottom.
I appreciate your fav's, comments, criticisms, bug reports and your hot, HOT lovin' as well.
Hi, I love the theme. But I want to make it fit with my desktop a little more.
How can I remove the "gloss" from the menu items (dropdown menus like on the panel)?
I hope you can help me out.
Thanks,
Devi
I very like the theme Grace...And make a mod (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GraceMod?content=105127). If you have any comments, please let me know.
Thanks.
Hi, Thanks for the great theme. I updated to 9.04 and can finally use it and other Murrine SVN themes.
Do you know how I can make the menu smaller (I don't have the global menu)? I edit the gtkrc file and change the:
# icon sizes
#gtk-icon-sizes = "gtk-menu=16,16:\ngtk-button=16,16:\ngtk-dnd=16,16:\npanel-menu=16,16:\npanel=16,16:\ngtk-dialog=16,16:"
to:
\npanel-menu=12,12\npanel=12,12:
but there is no change. Any idea how to change this? What lines to edit?
Thanks,
Devi
Thanks! I am already using your complex and great theme for a month and I am still going to use it :)
Amazing clean theme! :) Continue creating such great and simple themes. ;)
Great! Due to this theme my GNOME now looks very clean and modern! I've edited some options from the .gtkrc but this is really great job! Everything is simple - you've made great theme with only gtkrc file and without images :) So -> +1!!!
hey,
your theme has great looks, the smoothness suggest this is very usable on a daily basis.
anyways, since i don't use the global menu and read that i have tweak a few things to make this theme acceptable, i wanted to ask whether you would release a second version without the global-menu stuff inside? i really don't have so much experience and wouldn't like to sniff around in your gtkrc for "tweaks".
in return i could offer to port your emerald theme to xfwm4.
As a fellow themer, I mostly use my own work, and to find a theme I would consider using is rare. This is a very, very nice theme.
I love how you incorporate macish elements into a distinctly murrine theme. I have a few niggles with it, but that's to be expected. (We all have our (dis)likes.)
Waiting for the inevitable metacity port to take it for a spin.
Heh, thanks man! I'm all about the love. I don't just churn out crappy mods or colour changes. I'm all about INTERFACES and BEAUTY. Thanks again!

Great work man. Shexy. :)
I figured it out. I added the line: gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=16,16"

I'm looking to change my theme, since I'm using Dust and want to use a more distinct theme. So I've stumbled upon yours and it's amazing. Nice work!

This is really well designed and done theme. One of my favourites from over 400 themes I have installed in my system :).
That's quite a compliment! Thank you! /izo\
you describe the theme like if it was your car. No hate just love. Nice theme.
