Synth Suite
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Description:
UPDATE: There are some awesome new scrollbars. The backgrounds behind the don't move when you move the scrollbar. Check them out to see what I'm talking about!
I decided to create a even more minimalistic, space-saving theme similar to my Bard and Muse suites. This one has a more modern look thanks to the Aurora engine and uses even less precious screenspace.

I am planning a series of colors mods including Industrial, Gold, Sky and a few others. I hope it goes well. Last changelog:

ala in all i like it but I'm not really a big fan of the scrollbars, everything else looks great though
You can change the scrollbars by opening '$HOME/.themes/Synth Blue/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' and commenting out line 758 and uncommenting lines 759 - 761. Basically, lines 758 - 761 should look like this: 758| class "GtkScrollbar" style "movingscroll" 759| #class "GtkScrollbar" style "theme-scrollbar" 760| #class "GtkVScrollbar" style "theme-vscrollbar" 761| #class "GtkHScrollbar" style "theme-hscrollbar" just remember not to include the '7xy|'. I'll make sure to add a give that option in the next release (eg. Synth Blue Type 1, Synth Blue Type 2, Synth Blue Type 3...) so that you can use one with scrollbars you like.
Disregard my replay above and read the one below it. I noticed a slight mistake. Sorry for any inconvinience.

DO WANT.
I don't exactly understand what you want (sorry :P). Are asking me to change the color of the progressbars, scrollbars, and such into gray? In the meantime, please notice that the colors are completely customizable in the Appearance Preferences Dialog. To get there (you probably know what I am talking about) right-click the Desktop and click Change Desktop Background. Then switch to the Themes tab in the Appearance Preferences Window that pops up and click the Customize button. Another window should pop up with a number of tabs. Click the Colors tab and change the colors around to suit your tastes.
I'm an openbox user, so editing GTK themes means opening up the gtkrc file and tweaking it manually. I'm mostly lazy, but I also don't fully understand how the file works. :P But yes, my point was that I love the theme but would love an all black/gray version of it (I'm currently using Agray but it's not QUITE compact enough for me). In the meantime I'll see if I can re-color this without breaking it.
I'm going to make a special gray version just for you using the colors from Agray. I'll have it working soon. In case you'd like to edit the colors yourself in the meantime, the colorscheme is on line 7.
Whoa, for real? Sweet. I loved the Bard Suite, can't wait to take this one for a spin.
Added the Synth Gray theme especially for you. Sorry it took so long. I've been caught up with a lot of things lately.
Gwahahah! I are the victor. Incidentally, I'm using the Synth Blue right now on a slightly more colorful appearance. However, I'm going back to monochrome now. Thank ya sir!
You can fix this, thanks...

FIXED. Thanks. I had just included and extra 'http://'.
pls have a look at this theme http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GlowLeopard?content=92108 Thats very similar theme with its own pros and cons. Imho GlowLeopard`s menuitems will fit your theme very well.
Yeah, I know. I'm currently working on that for the next release. Stay tuned. I should have that out in a couple of days.
The last time I made a theme without steppers openoffice crashed because of that. Does that work now with openoffice 3?
I didn't notice becuase I use LaTeX (Gedit-LaTeX plugin actually) rather than OpenOffice.Org, but I see what you mean now. I haven't checked with the new OpenOffice.Org 3.0 but I suspect it might have the same problem. I'll try and make a OpenOffice specific workaround for this. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to fix this as soon as possible.
