From the looks of it, this theme looks great. But unfortunately I get some errors when trying to change to the gtk2 theme with gtk-chteme: /usr/share/themes/Aerials/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:57: error: unexpected identifier `scrollbar_color', expected character `}' I see that three times. I have tried to meddle a bit with the gtkrc file, with without any luck.
Where can I find the wallpaper in the second screenshot, the blue that fades into a teal colour?
How to get this shadows? I see it's not Compiz. Is tere any way to do this without xgl?
Xcompmgr might be what you looking for.
How did u make the console window with no borders and menus visible?
It's "Terminal" of xfce 4.4 (xfce-svn)
after upgeade to newer version i have go this: (xfdesktop:5855): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed and finally seg fault...:( What do you think about it? best regards Marek M.
Sure it is not a problem of a recent glibc update? It is strange that a little modification on a gtkrc (just a color change) wilpl cause glibc error... :)
Hi, im' using fc4 with default gnome version. Iv'e installed your theme but the buttons have the default gtk look instead of the round smooth look that the screen shots show. Plz help me figure out the problem. thank you
Open up Aerials' gtkrc in a text-editor and comment out the "scrollbar_color" and "animation" variables. Then it will work.
Thank you so much it works :)
nice work :) would you post your font rendering specs?, dpi, font-name ... it looks very nice. Thanks
96 dpi, trebuchet ms 8px
Selected menu-items have white text on a white background. Is this a bug or is this related to Ubuntu's version of Clearlooks?
Probably it's a bug... or I have fixed it in the 1.2 that it's nearly ready to be uploaded (tonight)
... to be exact. That engine is needed by the theme, it does not work with plain clearlooks Ubuntu is shipped with...
It works with gnome 2.14 since cairo was merged in gtk-engines since 2.6.7. (now 2.6.8 is the updated version)
Ubuntu's Clearlooks is not Cairo-enabled. Open up Aerials' gtkrc in a text-editor and comment out the "scrollbar_color" and "animation" variables. Then it will work.
Awesome, as always ! :)
yes, I like the color combo! Thank you!
Hm, how did you get rid of the window decorations of your terminal?
It's Terminal, the xfce4-svn terminal emulator. Let me know if you need more info (distro?)
Hm, so it is from Xfce 4.4, is it? I still have version 4.2 around here and will wait until it gets into the repositories.
Meh, I'm stupid. The option to turn off the window decoration was there all the time.
Are you talking about the default gnome-terminal? Where is this 'disable window decoration' option?
