Brought to you by the creator of Murrina Smoothie and Murrina Latte, Manganite is a dark and sleek new GTK theme for your GNOME desktop!
PLEASE NOTE: This theme was made with the latest version of the Murrine engine installed (0.60.1 from the Universe repositories). This theme may not work correctly with an earlier version of Murrine. I will not be held responsible for any undesired result caused by trying to use this theme with an earlier version of Murrine.
This theme includes a custom panel background.
IMPORTANT!
If you are running the latest SVN version, this theme may not work properly. This is because the "styles" property is now obsolete, and has been replaced by "profile." Last changelog:

Not work for me :| i have installed the current SVN version and the stable version to but not work either :\ can u help me ?
Unfortunately, I don't think I can. I don't actually know anything about the Murrine engine itself. Just making the themes that use the engine is all I know.
All you have to do is to change the line 85 from style into profile It should work flawlessly now. Cheers.
Bonus marks for including a nice panel background and suggesting a font
I like it very much with the Earl Metacity and mgopen Cosmetica FONT. Thank you all for hints and you for this awesome theme! Finally a nice dark theme.
this is simply wonderful! Could you possibly port your emerald theme to metacity? If not, then i suggest using this one: http://www.linuxmint-art.org/content/show.php/Earl?content=93917 I also suggest using the font called Limerick-Regular THANKS FOR AN AWESOME THEME!
I would like to make a metacity theme for it, but I have never made a metacity theme before. It shouldn't be hard for someone to port it, considering this Emerald theme uses the Pixmap engine.
just wanna add, that this one looks very much like the emerald on the screen, just for those not using emerald. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Shiftie+Bred?content=77953 Kind regards MikeDK
Have found a working Murrine-SVN-Engine: https://launchpad.net/~kwwii/+archive Works with your theme and progex themes too :) Greets
Sry for my question, but what SVN version you use ? I've downloaded Murrine SVN from http://svn.gnome.org/svn/murrine/trunk, but the theme will not work at all :( Can you give me a link to your murrine version ? Greets Duskman

Very, very sexy. /izo\
I appreciate your reply and I see by the ratings that your theme is very quickly gaining popularity. The theme is very good and thanks for putting in the time and effort to create it.
OOo Word: Go to Options, Appearance and set white ;) By the way very nice Theme, I miss only the Metacity, because I never use Emerald ;)
What version number of the Murrina engine should I have to use this theme? If I use OpenOffice with this theme will the document I am working on have a white page like Ubuntu's Darkroom theme? This one is important to me. I like your theme otherwise I would not be asking these questions. I like the flat panels you have included and the look of the theme is clean and modern. Very well thought out and attractive design. Very nice work!
I'm glad you enjoy my theme. About the OpenOffice thing. I really didn't know you could do that in a theme file. Right now it shows a dark grey page background. I do know you can change that in OpenOffice's settings, though.
Great! Voted good. Thanks fot this theme :)
