Description:
This is the first major revamp of my older Digital Dark themes I once did under my old alias "Bandit"

Almost all the graphics have been redrawn or improved so much from my Digital Dark 2 theme that it was no longer a update, but a whole new release.

As always my goal is to create a fully functional dark theme that is fast as it is visually pleasing to the eyes.

FX still has some draw issues with the pixmap engine but with the improved clarity of the graphics in this theme. Its no longer a huge problem as it was before in my previous theme releases.

Please feel free to post your comments and share the theme with all your friends. Also you may use this theme to create your own work of art.

Cheers,
Silentscape

I love this theme but in some programs certain icons and text are black on black and can't see them, such as text in filezilla and player controls on vlc. Besides these few little things this is the best looking theme I've ever seen.

I love this theme since 2 version, but I did like too much colors from past version, I mean 2 version, because it really seems like leds, this 3 version I like that button slide now is constan its color and you can find it so fast. I would like that every window would have its own margen some kind of border for each window, to this manner we can see what window to choose or to drag in the desktop. anyways it is the best dark them I've ever seen :D congratulations.

Thanks very much for this theme. It really looks pretty cool! I only have one problem with it. Whenever I active this theme I don't have any buttons in my OpenOffice anymore. Just the alternate text like "Export to PDF" is displayed. Any idea what this could be? If I switch back to a standart Ubuntu theme like Human, everything just works fine.

I had that same crazy problem also at first. What happening is the default settings in OOo have been changed to show text under low contrast themes, it can be found under Tools-Options-Appearance. At least it was under Ubuntu 7.10. You can change it back to show the regular low contrast icons by changing the setting in it. I am not sure if this is the new default in all distros now or just Ubuntu, but I hope this helps.

That did the trick. Thanks very much! The icons look very good in black, too. I don't understand why they would turn them off... Guess they will change their mind if Ubuntu 8.04 comes out with the new black/orange theme ;-)

:-)

Could you please give more detailed instructions how to change them back to icons?

Also, where can I find the wallpaper you have in the screenshot?
