This is just the best GNOME theme ever! Should be default GNOME theme :) Great work!!!
really nice!
It seems I've finally found a theme I'm sticking with. Good job! :) I absolutely adore the inactive window effect! Maybe you could do something similar with the active windows? (A gradual move to blue?) Not sure how it would work out... There's two issues I've noticed though (I'm using Xfce -- Xubuntu Feisty -- if it makes any difference):I can't resize from the bottom of windows. My mousepointer doesn't change into the double arrow. This seems to be an issue of the Emerald theme.
There's no way of distinguishing between unpressed and pressed buttons. For example, in Xfce, when you right click on a panel, choose "Customise panel" and check "Fixed Position". There'll be 12 buttons to choose where you want to stick the panel, but there's no way of telling which of them has been selected. I hope that makes sense. :/ I guess I could send you a screenshot if needed.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
I think the first point is a bug with some emerald versions. I may try increasing the window border size to get around it, although that does break with how I want the theme to look. As for the GTK bug, can you point to an example with a GTK app? I haven't noticed it in Gnome and don't have XFCE installed at the moment.
Here's a screenshot of what I mean: http://zeus.ugent.be/~strangequark/panelmanager.png. On the left is MurrinaNeo-Gilouche, on the right is Clearlooks. As you can see, there's no way of telling where my panel's been fixed.
This is the best theme i ever seen :D But you did wrong that you have extended the lower panel :/ too big icon for "show desktop", and there should be more space between minimized windows...
Fixed the issue, will upload again once I've tweaked it a bit more.
I noticed your browser (epiphany I guess) with murrine widgets (google buttons for example). Where can we find them ?
I've made them myself, but am still tweaking the CSS. I'll probably release them soon.
Thanks !
Love the theme. Thanks! Is it me or do the colors of our panels seem different? Your screenshots seem to show a more yellowtish tint. http://i17.tinypic.com/627tphv.png Am I missing something? What font do you use and size? :) Maybe I am crazy and just seeing things. Thanks.
There the same colour (I checked with your screenshot), I expect it's because mine's against a slightly lighter and more saturated wallpaper. I use size 8 sans, with 'best contrast' font rendering (I think that's just full hinting). For some reason, I've always preferred the hinting at that font size for some reason...
wow this does look nice Could you make one for the Chlorophyll theme, its the green version of Gilouche that came with SLED thanks
I'll most likely work on one when I've got this to a final state, although there are still a few areas I want to tweak and Beryl theming effectively means recolouring source SVGs manually and re-splicing it all over again...
While I'm not a Beryl user, I love the GTK theme. My only feedback is that I'd make it so when you mouseover things like buttons or item in the taskbar, it changes the colour. Otherwise this is really nice.
Thanks for the GTK pointer - I'll look into it (probably tommorrow... it's been a long night). Both the gilouche and murrine metacity themes go well with the GTK theme, although you'll miss out on the inactive window effect.
..I like it very much.
