For some reason openoffice crashes when starting up with this theme applied, doesn't happen with others..

Where did you find the wallpaper? Or did you "salvage" it with the GIMP or some such?
The wallpaper is called green stripes by Z3ppelin http://z3ppelin.deviantart.com/art/green-stripes-37204505 I just recoloured it to match my theme.
