-fixed/improved broken tooltips, tabs, text entry and combo boxes, gtk links, insensitive text, slightly (very slight) lighter menu, gimp ruler (thanks SkiesOfAzel!), status bar, and probably a few other things I don't remember.
-removed Onux and Noir emerald themes. Will post those separate so that this package can be installed via gnome-appearance-properties. Emerald themes are here

Please, someone update this to be 100% useable in MATE.
Hey! Great theme, however I agree to that what yang says. So if that is ok with you, I change the radio buttons by myself to increase the visibility. You wrote that there was an update of this theme, but I cannot find the file (in fact most of the file dates are dated back to 2006) and the rulers in gimp are still messed up. Another thing is that sometimes the font is black on dark gray background. e.g. in Thunderbird, when a new mail arrives into a mail account, it is indicated by the account name in bold and black color, which is not visible. Any help is greatly appreciated. And I had no visible entries in the gnome menu. I had to roll over the entries with the mouse to see them. I found out that I had to change/add ythickness = 0 xthickness = 0 GtkMenu::horizontal_padding = 0 GtkMenu::vertical_padding = 0 in the style "menu" section. Cheers, Jägermeister
Sure no problem. I can see everything just fine. Change whatever you need. Try downloading again. I guess the last pkg I tried to upload did not upload. Gimp fix wasn't there but should be now. Sorry about that and sorry it took so long to respond. I don't know anything about thunderbird. If anyone knows the fix I'd be glad to update. Gnome menu would be a big problem. I don't have it and no one else has said anything so.... Regarding the other things yang said.... insensitive menuitems were always like that. I don't know when other engines made it so we could control it but at least we can now. Still sad though.....having to use another engine just for insensitive text. As far as I know there is still no way to control the black icon issue.
I intend to make you famous, or is it infamous. You have competition and may have more by October. I am the creator of Ultimate Edition & have selected your artwork to possibly be the default theme in UE 2.8. Please view http://themelinux.com/ and where they vote http://forumubuntusoftware.info/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4921 Thank you for your hard work. Feel free to add the deb to your post, if you so desire. Hearing that you didn't get any responses for this great theme, I took the time to register on this page I propably never will visit again (until next time I get a reason for finding the onux theme...) So, this is me commenting, and complimenting you on a good theme.
i think i agree that onyx is the best dark theme that i could find, and i've spent a good deal of time searching. however, imo there are a number of practical improvements to be made. some examples: - can't tell whether checkboxes are checked, which radio box is chosen, etc. (black on barely-lighter black) - disabled controls are much brighter/lighter than their enabled counterparts. eg: disabled menu items vs. enabled menu items, the scrollbar handle vs. scrollbar empty scrollbar space, etc. - clicking an icon makes it go completely black (disappears on black background) - some more i can't think of off the top of my head... :) sadly these are significant enough to keep me from using this (and thus any dark theme). anyway, here's hoping that you'll address these issues in onux 2! thanks a lot for hearing me in.

Best dark theme I've come across yet and I've given most of them a go. Surprised you haven't seen much feedback...
I'm surprised too. It's probably because it's not flashy, but black/flashy is hard on the eyes and so not usable and I was going for usable. Thank you for noticing and saying so!
