Description:
This is based on the Milk OS X theme by Max Rudberg, http://maxthemes.com. I called this theme "Milke" so as not to be confused with the excellent Milk GTK theme by roberTO, available at http://art.gnome.org/themes/gtk2/567/. The original version of this theme was based on roberTO's, but this version is a fairly complete re-write.

My theme has rounder buttons and a different kind of dropdown list, slider, spinner buttons, and progress bar, among other things. There are some bugs I'm still trying to work out. (The progress bar is screwy when it's small, among other things...)

If you want to re-enable the stock icons for the buttons, then comment out the line in the gtkrc that says

gtk-button-images = 0

If you want some nice stock icons that go really well with this theme, then look at the ones that come with Milky Smooth, from here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=21140
Last changelog:

Version 2.3:

Fixed progress bar.
Fixed inner shadow.

I really think this is one of the most beautiful themes out there for linux. Great job!

Totally agree. I can't believe I came back to download this after 5 years!!! I stopped using Linux in 2007 and Milke was my fav theme then. A lot of new themes and theme engines have come out since then. But I still like this one. I tweaked a little to remove border around toolbar etc.

I felt, using Milke, a much lighter theme than other Aquas I was using. It's simple and has all nice Aqua shapes. pretty good.

I love this theme, only problem is it makes the bookmarks in Firefox flicker on mouse over. But no big deal.

use bar.png as bar-v.png and it'll look better/maybe right when small

bvc

yup, that works

That did make it a bit better, and then I FINALLY figured out how to make it look correct (I hope...) by playing with transparency a bit. Thanks for the tip.
