Candido-Engine
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
This engine was expecially designed to be fast light and clean, and to be wonderful as Candido pixmaps themes, and different.
Yes Candido Engine is different, it's more contrasted and more flat, that's my new Candido proposal!

Hello: First of all, thanks for this awesome engine! If you are looking for someone to package Candido for Fedora, I have already done the job ;-). I have created RPM packages of Candido-Engine for Fedora, archs i686 and x86_64: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=118124 You can put them in your homepage, and I accept suggestions about the packages if you want to change something. Cheers, Germán
hello everybody your theme looks awesome, so i want to use it, too. i extracted the Candido-Engine-Xfwm4.tar.bz2 and moved the folders to /usr/share/themes, but they don't appear in theme choosing menu. how do i install them? greetz joe
Hello everyone. I really like the candido engine but I have a little problem. Only very few themes work. I've installed the Ubuntu candido engine package, but the only themes that works are those wich contain many files such as "scrollbars", "arrows"... in the main theme folder. The others themes, with just the gtkrc file don't work. The only themes working are Condido, Candido Graphite. Candido-Candy for example doesn't work such as all the others. Anybody can help ? Do I miss a dependency ? What can I do ?
when will there FINALLY be a an ubuntu amd64 build !?
I try to compile this engine on openSuSE 10.1 and got this error: checking for GTK... configure: error: GTK+-2.8 is required to compile candido narumi@linux-narumi:~/Desktop/candido-engine-0.9.1> any help apprieciated, I want to use this engine.
you need to install gtk2 development libraries..
Thanks cimi for quick reply. I successfully compile it on my system and build SuSE 10.1 rpm. Shall I send it to you as contrib packages?
yes
Arch pkgbuild updated. Thanks Cimi for Candido & Murrine.
So this is Candido meets Murrina? :D I love them both so good job!
Murrine nor murrina! :) Murrina means a glass artwork, murrine makes a lot of glass artworks!
Your theme looks really great! I installed your ubuntu package at my Ubuntu 6.06. But how to "activate" it now? (I'm new to Linux). Thanks for any hint in advance!
you have to install a theme like Candido-Candy and select it in the theme manager menu of gnome (theme details)
Hi, I downloaded the ubuntu file and installed the package. I'm a bit new to ubuntu and linux commands. When I try to run the ./configure --prefix=/usr--enable-animation command it gives me this error bash: ./configure: No such file or directory I am not familiar how to get to the source directory. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Cimi! Arch PKGBUILD's updated. Still waiting for Murrine... ;)
