Description: This style is inspired by eGTK by danrabbit. I have borrowed some parts to style Nautilus.
PANELS IN THE PREVIEW IMAGE ARE EMBEDDED IN THE WALLPAPERS AND WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THAT BY DEFAULT. READ THE TUTORIAL BELOW!
GTK engines required: - The Murrine engine. (0.90.3+git20100323.) - The latest Equinox engine - http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Equinox+Gtk+Engine?content=121881 - The Pixbuf/pixmap engine.
This style is currently designed around nautilus-elementary. I recommend that you install that. Otherwise you can use the included Zuki Classic Nautilus.
To correctly display the breadcrumbs in nautilus-elementary, go to Properties > Tweaks > Show like breadcrumbs and then restart Nautilus.
I recommend that you use a dock for this theme.
To open 7z files install the package p7zip.
To install this theme extract the included folders to:
/home/Your Username/.themes
or for all users:
/usr/share/themes
Then go to System->Preferences->Appearance and select it from the list. (For some reason this may not work. Just select the parts manually if it don't work.) Or change the parts manually by clicking on the Customize button to select your preferred window border, icon and cursor theme.

HOW TO USE A CUSTOM PANEL
This is an optional step for more experienced customizers. This step may be very hard for beginners!
As you can see in my preview image I've added a custom panel. Gnome-panel unfortunately can't handle real transpareny without making it all look like a frellwit. We can work around this by embedding some graphics on our wallpaper, making it look like real transparency. First of all, make sure you are using "Zuki Dark's" controls and widgets.
For this to work you need to have GIMP installed. Ubuntu users - Open a terminal and type: sudo apt-get install gimp. You also need a GIMP plugin call Liquid Rescale: sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-registry Other users - http://liquidrescale.wikidot.com/en:download-page-linux
### THE IMAGE ###
1. Locate the panel.png file in the archive.
2. Open the PNG-file in GIMP.
3. Go to Layer > Liquid Rescale.
4. Enter your screen width in the Width area and then resize the image. (The "chain" icon next to the values needs to be "open". If it's locked, just click on it. It should be open by default though.)
5. Press CTRL+A (or Select > All.) Copy the image and paste it on your wallpaper of choice. Important: Your wallpaper must have the same width and height as your desktop resolution.
6. Move the pasted layer to the top and then save your new wallpaper as whatever.png.
### THE PANEL ###
(Make sure your panel is set to 24px in height.)
1. Go to the directory where you installed the theme (Probably /home/username/.themes/Zuki Dark/) Open the panel.rc file.
2. Put a # in front of bg_pixmap[NORMAL] so it will look like this: #bg_pixmap[NORMAL] = "/Panel/panel-bg.png" # Disable for normal panel backgrounds. Then save the document.
3. Rightclick on your panel and select properties. Go to the Background tab and select Solid color. Move the Style slider all the way to the left.
4. And you're done! Enjoy your fake transparent panel.Last changelog:

This is truly the most elegant theme I have used. But, there seems to be a problem. Everything except the Synaptics Manager displays just like it should. The Synaptics window looks like it is using a Windows 95 theme. Like I said before all other windows look perfect except this.

Did you put the theme foder in /usr/share/themes? When you just add in theme manager, you just add for your user. When you use root user, the theme does't exist, so the SO uses the defaut gnome theme.
Your theme will be set as default for GNOME on the next release of Frugalware (1.4 Nexon) :)

This is more a complaint with many new themes, but it would be nice if they didn't all depend on GIT/SVN/etc. versions of theme engines. Not everyone uses Ubuntu where the developers are happy to push out testing grade packages to their users. It's a little limiting to users like myself who use distros like Gentoo wear stability is paramount.
Otherwise, great work on this theme. One of the better ones I've seen on here in quite some time.
I agree 100%. I run Debian Testing and have to use git's murrine to run at least half of the GTK themes here - it's not so much gnome-look.org as ubuntu-look.org. Why Ubuntu want to enforce a lot of unstable software on their users is beyond me.
Now that I got it installed, I've got the problem that the theme doesn't work in Xfce.
The file permissions are set correctly and I've installed gtk-engine-equinox 1.20, gtk-engine-murrine 0.90.3 and gtk-engine-pixbuf 0.1.0. But every theme look like the ugly Windows 95. Of course I also restarted X.
Am I missing something or doesn't it work with Xfce?

Indeed one of most beautiful themes I've seen. Only the gray in the window background and the menus could be a shade lighter for my taste. And some more colors like e.g. orange, wine-red or the like would be nice. :-)
The downloaded 7z archive can't be extracted correctly. Every file is extracted into the directory where the archive is saved, 7z asks if several files shall be overwritten and the extracted Zuki* directories are empty. So you should rebuild the archive and probably use one of the more common archive formats .tar.gz, .tar.bz2 or .tar.xz instead of 7z.
The archive works fine for me. Are you sure you have p7zip installed? And what program do you use to extract compressed files with?
Unfortunately I can't pack it in any of the other formats because of the 750KB size limitation here on gnome-look. The 7z file is 128KB while the other formats gets up to 800-2000KB.
I have p7zip 9.04 installed and extract it with `7z e <archive name>`.
Probably this issue is why this archive is so extremely small compared to the other archive formats due to missing file informations. ;-)
Not sure why the compression is so much better in 7zip, but perhaps that may have something to do with it. :P

With 7z x (that really makes sense, two parameters for extraction) and with file-roller it can be extracted, but only with these.
With squeeze the archive can't be opened and xarchive shows two files (.7z and 9) both with 0 byte and the first one with Time="Time" and Date="Date" and the second one with Time="e".

Wonderful theme! I know, emerald is bit old, but what about emerald decorations?

For Gentoo users to get the equinox engine you have to add the wirelay overlay through layman.

it is beacause it is perfectly stable. Never had a single issue with ubuntu's default murrine engine so far..
Now that I got it installed, I've got the problem that the theme doesn't work in Xfce. Sounds like an engine problem. Is it Murrine 0.90.3+git20100323 you have installed? Try to install the latest murrine-git version otherwise.
