Will this be ported to plasma 5?
How do I get this applet to play the movies, or show a thumbnail of the movie, or show a text description of the movie? Thanks, Trekjunky
Hi, please try the new version. I think I managed to display the preview picture (youtube videos only, but I think they use only youtube).
Hello, I don't know if you can help me, but I thought I would ask anyways. I have OpenSuSE 12.2 64 bit. It comes with an RPM file called plasmoid-potd that installs this file: plasma_engine_apotd.so which it uses for your NASA Astronomy Picture Of The Day script/program. I downloaded your updated file and had to install the comic plugin and it works fine on pictures within the comic plugin, but not as a dynamic wallpaper which POTD does and I like. NOTE: I have not had the chance to test your updated script on a video yet. Anyway, do you happen to have an idea about incorporating your updated NAPOD into the OpenSuSE 12.2 RPM or supply source which includes your update for the plasma_engine_apotd.so file so that I can compile it and replace it? Any help will be very much appreciated!! TrekJunky
I just tested APOD 0.5 with today's NASA APOD youtube movie and it does just like you intended it to. Thank you so much!!! Maybe as a "to do" you could add a function that if I click on the APOD picture and if it is a picture nothing happens but if it is a movie, for it to play it in the default browser (or configurable browser)? I am very satisfied with what you have done so far so I can wait for a long time if you ever decide to do this "to do"! Thanks again! TrekJunky
I love this comic addon! NASA Picture of the day is a very interesting and nice service. Thank you for your effort to bring it to the KDE Desktop!
