Description: Access hard drives / partitions faster through sidebar icons.
Here is how to create them:
Open konqueror file manager. (Click on Home icon.) Right click on side bar(all the way to the left), and select add new, then folder.
Select "set url" and set it to /mnt/hda1 or /Mount/Hda1 To change top icon right click on it and select "kedit". Set icon= to icon=folder_yellow and name to name=c: .
You can use different icons. Icons with color are in filesystem part.
Create folder "Documents" in desktop folder. Select "set url" and set it to /Users/username/Desktop/Documents or /home/username/Desktop/Documents.
In hope that someone will find it usefull.
Also when you click on diferent sidebar right panel is not auto-refreshed. Will be reported as bug.
Sidebar icons are desktop files, located in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/konqsidebartng/entries Press F9 twice to refresh. Select save view profile to save profile.
Note: link to download is same as 1st picture, since I cannot link to txt.
I'm in favor of picture #3. I really hate Microsoft's "My" and I really hate apple's "i".
One thing I don't like about #3, is that i think the Location bar should say: /home/username/.
Not: file://Mount/hda5/
And I think Movies, Music, etc. should be under: /home/username/Documents/
Here's a screenshot: www.breathedeeply.com/menu1.jpg
So, when you double-click on home, it looks like this:
www.breathedeeply.com/menu2.jpg
but that's just me. :)

Pic 1 is /home/user/desktop/Documents/movies, music, other files... You can put dirs (documents, movies, music)in /home/user/ but hidden files would be there. Something has to be on top in desktop dir, the way it is now. In relation to: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=18153 pic 3 is partiton mainly used in win. Original dirs naming came from: http://www.appleclub.com.hk/macosx/learning/quickreference.html
wth. is "C:\"? ;) SCNR But still quite useful, did not notice this feature before...
