Description: I made an ebuild (= Gentoo package) for Kerry, a KDE search interface for beagle (based on best). If installed, it appears as an icon in the systray. You can activate it via mouse, with F12 or (Ctrl-) Alt-Space.
If you install beagle on Gentoo for the first time to use it with KDE only, you don't need the gtk use flag which adds dependencies for a bunch of gnome stuff.
For more informatin about installing beagle on Gentoo read the Gentoo Installation article form the Beage Wiki at http://beaglewiki.org/Gentoo_Installation
To install this ebuild, you need a portage overlay directory, copy this ebuild into the kde-misc branch and just emerge it with "emerge kde-misc/kerry -av" . Read on http://www.gentoo.org if you don't know how to install a third party ebuild.Last changelog:
The ebuild found it's way into the official Gentoo portage tree. Syncing and a simple 'emerge kerry' (unstable tree) should be enough.
Why you don't add this ebuild to the bugs.gentoo.org? There can everybody found it and donwload it. Also you have bigger chance that your ebuild will be add to the portage tree. Just add this ebuild to the bugs.gentoo.org please!

All German umlauts of files or directories ar replaced with those white boxes. My locale ist de_DE.utf8 and umlauts work well in beagle
I am not able to download your ebuild .. :(
another download page is on https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124173
Any idea when beagle's ~x86 block gets removed? It's been on for weeks now.
Very nice app. Thanks for the ebuild and the bugfixes. :-)
The beagle dependency requires '>=app-misc/beagle-0.2' Also, you should probably put ~amd64 in there as it's a pretty prominent arch nowadays.
