i installed it,but how can i put the kopete in the sidebar?
Open up a Sidebar (Right click on kicker, Panel Menu, Add, Panel, Universal Sidebar). Right click on sidebar, add new, then you should have the kopete option there. (I had trouble with this too). Make sure kopete is running before because it doesn't seem to "grab" it if it runs after you open the sidebar tab. (in which case you have to remove the tab, launch kopete, reopen the tab)
Sometimes it doesn't want to embed in the sidebar.... if kopete or the sidebar crashes (which happens when you try to open two kopete options in the sidebar) kopete won't re-embed until after both the sidebar and kopete are restarted, and sometimes not at all. still very very good for a 0.1 release... i just thought i'd point out a few bugs.... thank you!

just wondering...would it be possible to integrate kopete into kontact? that would be pretty cool too.
This is very good,with this I'll try kopete again, the last time I found it quite unstable so I'm still using gaim. The universal sidebar is cool, now it lacks a good devices management, in the services menu you can't umount them for example.
that's a good idea. what really caught my eye was the smaller icons on your kicker, next to the normal size ones. how did you do that? i'm using 3.2-RC1, but i'm not seeing such an option.
That has been an option in several of the last KDE versions. Right click the panel, add applet, quick launcher.
I think that is the quick launch applet. You can add this by right clicking on the kicker, add, applet, Quick Launcher. greetz, deech
