Kate Session Menu
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Available as/for:
Description:I added a debian package, built and tested on my kubuntu dapper system. (Oops, fixed the URL, sorry)
Version 0.3: Fixed typo so 'new session' works again. Make the name prompt with 'new session' accept an empty string (will create an unnamed session after a warning).
Version 0.2: Added support for anonymous sessions. An anonymous session is not saved, and thus is usefull when you just want to view/edit some files once

this is just great! Just had to change the autoconf version in cvs.sh to make it build.
this package requires autoconf 2.53 but evidently I have autoconf 2.6.. I had to modify the makefile in the admin directory to change the references from 2.5* to 2.6.. compiles perfectly after that.. Love this plugin
I've started to use Kate's sessions extensively and this kicker menu suits me perfectly. But it would be even better if we could drag and drop files on the icon. This way we wouldn't need another Kate's icon --just to do this-- and we could use the K.S.M. only.
When will be released the new project manager for Kate?

This should be fixed already now, so get the package and try again :)
File not found error for 0.2 ann 0.3 versions.
Woops, I fixed the links. You can allways find the files at the homepage.
I actually found it very handy. Great work.
I'm interesting for old Kate Project Manager. I don't lite new Kate Session manager!
Well, you could read my blog on kate sessions, at http://www.alweb.dk/blog/anders/kate_named_sessions if you didn't allready. It might help you use the sessions, and it also mentions that some form of project management - better than the old one - will be added sometime.
Thak you for the link. I will be looking forward for the new Project Manager in Kate. For this time I will stay on KDE 3.4.3 until you did not release Session Manager with usable form of Project Manager.
whats that font you got on the title bar, and in the buttons...etc ?
The title bar font is Bauhaus MD BT. The font on the GUI is BenguiatGot Bk BT Both fonts are available in a huge archieve of free fonts that can be downloaded from kde-look.org
