I love mouse gestures, something that i have always missed. Really great i could say. I'd like to ask if would be possible to support qupzilla too as it is a qt browser too. Thanks again for this feature.
Hey Guys Thanks a lot for this item, it's amazing :D I use Kde 4.4.3 with Mandriva 2010.1, and the home function doesn't work. So I don't know if the issue comes from my laptop or not.
Thank you :) It seems that your program uses other shortcuts for "home". To make it work for you, you could adjust the right shortcut to the gesture which is responsible for "home". Just check out the settings in KHotkeys.
It's ok I've changed «Alt+Pos1» by «Alt+Début», French version ;) Thanks
This is great. You can add duplicate tab gesture?
Thank you :) I'm sorry, but I can't find the "dublicate tab"-feature in the applications for which I made these gestures. :(
I love mousegestures for all browsers. But I just reinstalled opensuse 11.2 and installed kde 4.4.2. After importing this khotkey file it does not work. I enabled gestures, set button to 3 and removed opera for webbrowsers. This used to work fine but now in both firefox and arora the gestures doesn't work. i haven't tested it in other browsers but I assume it doesn't work there either. Any idea what the problem is? Not having this will probably drive me nuts.
Oh that doesn't look good. Maybe you can adjust the settings. Go to systemsettings -> input settings click on "Browsers" and go to conditions. There you can adjust the name of the programs in which the gestures shall be present. You can make use of the "autodetect"-button or type in the name of the program manually.
Seems to be a KDE problem. Mousgestures for konqueror, which came with KDE also doesn't work.
Hi, with KDE 4.4 and Chromium 5.0.364, the gestures don't work. Is there something I can do to make it work?
I also use KDE 4.4. The gestures work for me with Chromium 5.0.307.11 (39572) and Chrome 5.0.342.7 beta. Are you sure to have enabled the gestures properly?
*edit* I just saw, that you used a slightly different version of Chromium. I'll wait until this version is in AUR (from Arch Linux) and test it then.
My mouse gestures were configured to use mouse button 2, I thought it wast the right button, but it was the wheel! Now in button 3 it works as expected :) Sorry for the noise.
Ok, great :) No problem!
i see it was already mentioned that khotkeys and easystroke are similar in what they do.. i just want to say that khotkeys are port of easystroke to kde http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-licensing&m=123689091521025&w=2 with this said i don't know if any other work or development is done on khotkeys but easystroke is updated and brings more features long story short give easystroke a try so you can compare features of these two ;)
here is sample of my action http://www.mediafire.com/?tmamogmzjiy *some of the hotkeys are custom (like kwin min/max) so you need to change them in your settings
but there´s an easy way to have desktop wide mouse gestures: easystroke, in (k)ubuntu you´ll find it in synaptic i use it and it is really great
Thanks. But why is this way easier? With KHotkeys you don't have to install anything at all :)
well, easier was the wrong word... it just isn´t limited to the browsers, so if someone wants to have gestures for other apps or desktop actions, too, it is easier, cause no thinking about solutions is necessary
This is exactly, what KHotkeys does. You can set up a global gesture which works in your hole desktop environment. There is no difference between KHotkeys and Easystroke or Gestikk. I just made gestures for browsers only to avoid conflicts with other programs. I for myself have disabled the conditions so that it will work everywhere.
oh damn, so it´s definitely my fault! i thought it´s just for browsers i should give it a try :) thx for explaining me my misunderstanding!
No problem :)
sadly with a recent build of chromium, this does not work anymore...
Works fine in Kubuntu 9.10 and Chromium 4.0.252.0 (Ubuntu build 32323).
Maybe you could adjust the conditions.
