I'd love to see a 1600x1200 version
Too bad I didn't read the freakin' description. Sorry I'm such an idiot.
Don't be so hard on yourself ;)
This have to be the best looking wallpaper i've ever seen!!! It would be great if there was a debian-logo instead of a gentoo...
nice job, what about a 1600x1200 release for the fat ass 19"+ screens out there :p
As I mentioned in the description: For the complete listing visit: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=143218 The other resolutions have much larger files that are over the 500KB limit on kde-look.org. I didn't want to compress them too much, otherwise you'll notice the compression artifacts. PNGs produced even larger files, so I resorted to JPG with 20% compression (not really noticeable in our case). =/ The originals were in 1600x1200, but I haven't had a chance to test them out as my monitor only goes up to 1280x1024 max. Let me know how it looks! Personally, I think the lower resolution ones look better, i.e. 1024x768.
Thats the best matrix wallpaper i've seen here on kde-look. Great work.
Thanks, I tried to randomize the code streams and give them depth. Each code stream was individually crafted and tweaked. All in all over 200 layers. =O The randomization of the code *sequence* was done by making an array of the letter images in javascript and using a random function to generate a table of the images. Then I just used each column of the table as a code stream.
or a SuSE one?
Hey guys, I would make one for the other distros, but... 1) If you look closely, the letters used in the code streams are the official letters from the Gentoo logo. http://www.gentoo.org/images/gentoo-new.gif 2) See my reply to aaron below. It would take a *lot* of time if I had to do that over again using letters from distro logos for every requested distro... Plus, the Mandrake logo font is kinda generic and SuSE only gives me 3 letters to work with (won't be too randomized). Tell you what, I can maybe make a Linux one for all the other distros? Maybe use Tux the penguin as the impression in the code cascade? =]

That would be great, please do :)
Can you do one for us Mandrake users please?
