oh its even better than i thought! I thought it was just rotating clockwise, but it spins like a globe =) in awesome 3d! (Boy I just clicked on this guy's animated gif, after so many years. Talk about too lazy to click on a link!)

Maybe you have the right combination CPU+graphics card so it uses little CPU. Does glxinfo show 'direct render' as Yes, for example, which means work is done by GPU on the graphics card. BTW Seraphyn where can I go to start learning about e17's creating your own animated backgrounds?
Just using an A31 IBM Thinkpad @ the Moment, got a ATi 7500 Mobility with x.org drivers. So i don't think this is much power. A nice start you'll have here : http://wiki.enlightenment.org/index.php/Main_Page I used another Wallaper/Theme to have a lookup to the code by using the edje decompiler (edje_decc), have a look around in the wiki, this is a nice documentation. i am running amd 1900+ 1.6ghz with ati 9200 video card cant see why it takes so much cpu :(
Hmmm, i there any way, to make CPU use a lil bit slower ? Make it smaller ? I don't know, it's my first animated background. Got anyone any hints ? Seraphyn

ok so it uses alot of cpu maybe 77&-88& for me, but what the heck it's nice DEBIAN POWER!!!
Hmmm, got only 5-7% percent on a 1,9Ghz IBM Thinkpad A31. So i try to make it a little bit smaller for CPUs. Seraphyn
