Description: Rendered this up using Bryce 5.. And why didn't any of you lot come round my house and tell me about Linux? I've been using Windows for 10 years and I only discover it 4 months ago. SHAME ON YOU! I've wasted a lot of time using rubbish!
I'd like to mention that I've put no artistic input into these whatsoever, I just selected some preset skies at random and hit the "render panorama" button in Bryce. Anyway, do with them as you will!
NOTE: Link updated - now works! Many thanks to Frank for sorting out my email address and password problems...Last changelog:
1.2: resized images again, because I'm an idiot frankly and screwed it up the first few times. put them all in one archive.
1.1: * aspect ratio corrected * 11 new images added (and old one updated)
Whoops! Sorry - I forgot to keep my domain registered.. I have also forgotten my password as well for my HugoRune account (and the "Mail me password" function is pointing to a different/defunct mail account too I think)..
So, if there are any nice admins about, could you please update the link to
http://www.runeindustries.com/beryl/bryce_skydomes.tar.bz2
Please? Thank you kindly :)
Hi!
I was hoping that perhaps you know where the link is to download Sea and Sky Bryce Pack? They are stunning and this is the first time I have ever actively chased an eye candy link! Thank you for your timne and any help you can render. L
Using the dark one at the moment, good job! Though bryce is one of the most annoying programs I've used...
You just have to extract the images. Then, using compiz settings manager, you can change the skydome image by going to Desktop Cube > Appearance > Skydome. Just select your image from there and click animate if you want it to move when you rotate the cube.
Is it just me or is the download link broken? I only get referred to http://www.beryl-themes.org/CONTENT/content-files/55186-first.jpg, and not to any archive.
I should have stayed in bed this morning. First I send and invoice to a client of mine called Andy. In the invoice I put "to Miriam".
Then I walked into a wall.
And screwed up this upload! :)
Fixed now, sozz.
Thanks, I've noticed! And most of the them are actually helpful, which is quite refreshing after years spent on some MS boards :) And a note for anyone trying to install Ubuntu on a Samsung R55, install Kubuntu instead, KDE requires a LOT less config to get everything up and running (e.g. none).
Skydome images need to be a power of 2.
So you would need to resize it to something like 2048x1024, which I did in GIMP and it works now for me.
It did not work in it's native resolution.
HTH.

Don't worry, we've all had days like that ;)
Could you please resize these all to sizes that actually work and then put them all in one archive? Thanks.
will do...
Looks awesome Thank you and welcome to Linux. There are many forums if you ever need help.

I really didn't think about the best dimensions required for a skydome so you'll probably have to resize this yourself.
