Loved the last two covers you designed! Any chance of 9.10 Karmic covers for Ubuntu & Kubuntu?
Having grown up in the American West, I've heard tales of the mighty Jackalope all my life. I have to insist that a proper jackalope has visible antlers. The graphic on the label—nice as it may be—is just a rabbit. FYI
Hehe... yeah, they are not huge on this graphic. But they are there. Little stubs, but they are there if you look. But, as I mentioned, if you want to improve it, I put the SVG up there.
Really nice. I have a lightscribe burner, so I made some modifications to better fit a lightscribe drive's printing ability. http://dbeta.com/UbuntuJaunty32BitDesktopBW.png The results are quite nice. http://dbeta.com/JauntyLightScribeResults.jpg If anyone wants the svg file for my edits, just ask(it requires a little GIMP color post processing).
Opps, messed up on the URLs. http://dbeta.com/pictures/UbuntuJaunty32BitDesktopBW.png http://dbeta.com/pictures/JauntyLightScribeResults.jpg
Hello, great labels!! but the Homepage de Kubuntu is (dot)org, ....... mmmmmmmm small detail... xD... adios y gracias.
I can't open it on my ubuntu 8.04 machine, When I try with archive manager or tar at the command line this is the error: tar: This does not look like a tar archive tar: Skipping to next header tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors Any chance of a reupload?
Try it now. I did re-upload the files, but they (for some strange reason) download corrupted. I changed them to .zip and they seem to work now.
very nice! Never seen such a good CD/DVD label for ubuntu. With what program did you make these? And do you have any newbie tips? :)
Forgot to mention one thing, you should remove the ubuntu sticker on top and place a ubuntu logo (without text) above the rabbit. Well thats what I think would make it a bit nicer.
Well, that's why I uploaded the SVG. So you can download Inkscape and go to town on it... Seriously, change it to the way you would like it. ;) I did it all in Inkscape (logo design and layout). The *fancy* swirls are from Fyre, which is included in the ubuntu repos. (If you got ubuntu, just type "sudo apt-get install fyre") That's it. As far as the layout goes, I saw a label that inspired this one (don't remember where from, though).
Excellent!! Can't wait for the kubuntu version. Thanx again! Re m
Here is the kubuntu version.
can you make a kubuntu version?
There you go!
thanks!!!
