Description:
This is a kbfx button based on the smoothyan button done by elusive and kicker background that I came up with. I changed the color to a darker color and i made a glow effect on the arrow when hovered and pressed. I also included the .xcf files so you can change anything you like. You can find the original smoothyan button here: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/smoothyan?content=58076
You can download the background here

by the way..both the the bottom and top kicker seem to be the native KDE kicker. How do you set the back grounds independently? Which KDE release are you using? Thanks!!

well I set both panels to transparent and the bottom grid background is actually a part of the background picture. I did that so I could have the shadow effect. I also had a gradient effect on the grid pattern. It just makes it a little more customizable.

oh yea, my KDE version is 3.5.7

KBFX Startmenu

KBFX is an alternative startmenu for KDE 3.2+. It improves users' experience by replacing the Win95-like K-Logo button and menu with a larger and thus more visible start button and menu. Wikipedia
